i know. i'll eat whatever haxen and schnitzels, whoever is open. the tire country shuts down around this time of year in Czech Rep too, i resort to crisps and cured sausages. washed down with local white wine. i should try leaving NUE early enough if i want to have lunch at Spezie before they close for the holidays. and hopefully have dinner the same day at Keesmann. hey, just my luck yesterday at Wildeman... i had several Mahr's ungespundet and later a smooth rauchbier, both straight from the barrel on top of the counter! the rauchbier was so dangerously smooth and refined! forgot to find out who brews it though.... coincidentally earlier in the day i was introduced to a bloke who's married to a Franconian, and is 'responsible' for importing all the Franconian goodies here. of course everyone got to hear about my coming Franconian holidays :@) oink oink |
