Mahrs am Freitag

Well, didn't make it to Mahrs on that Freitag, but did on the following Monday, though too early to enjoy the Bock, which only went on after 17.00 vom Fass; there were bottles available, but I settled for a Seidla of the U instead. The Bock *was* on at Keesmann though, and lovely it was. Then to Schlenkerla to meet Fred & Co., where we first rued the diminished quality of this year's Bock compared to last year's, only to then later praise it for being just fine after all. Or that was just me, it's hard for me to keep facts straight in Bamberg in Bockbierzeit. Fred's parents are a trip. Wish mine were so cool. (Don't tell them I said that though!)
