| The locomotive drivers' union is giving die Bahn until 13.00 today (Tue) to come up with a new offer. If they get nothing new (which is likely, as the Bahn's basically told them to forget it), strikes will likely occur without advance warning. A court has forbidden them from striking against long-distance and cargo trains though--this means IC and ICE trains shouldn't be affected, just regional trains (S-Bahn, RB, RE trains). Just a "head's up" for those planning to get around by Bayern Ticket and what-not! Who would've thought that German train drivers are the worst paid in Europe? |
