Need ideas for a Dec 07 Germany trip

Thanks...I was thinking about a few days in Regensburg but getting there from Frankfurt is too long. I think I'll save it for a trip when I fly into Munich. Even doing Nurnberg from Frankfurt is a bit of a hike, but I'd really like to get some great Franconian beer. I was in Vetter on my brief visit to Heidelberg and had the 33, but they had their Octoberfest on at the time. I also briefly visited another brewpub a few blocks away but forget the name. Besides revisiting the Heidelberg beer scene I am interested in going to Speyer and maybe Worms. I like cathedrals and historically important cities. I'll check on S-R and Amberg. Mike
