Need ideas for a Dec 07 Germany trip

I was stationed in Germany three times while in the US Army. I loved Bamberg, was excited by Wuerzberg, and looked forward to Darmstadt. The city of Bamberg, with all the beers nearby was exciting, in Wuerzberg, I was close enough to Bavaria to make it interesting. In Darmstadt, I traveled to Stuttgart and Heielberg, as well as Bamberg. Without a doubt, Bamberg is the greatest beer city in Germany. The city is beautiful, and the beer is awesome. If you spent four hours in Heidelberg, you have likely seen everything the city offers. Munich is a beautiful city, but the beer over-rated. In December, Nuremberg offers a great Christmas markeet (Bamberg and others offer a smaller market), while Franken should offer an array of great bock beers.
