Village Beers on Draught in Bamberg

Aha! You are going for the places, not so much for the beers. Apart from that, I fully agree with (some of) your guidelines, i.e. eat regularly, drink beer slowly, and drink plenty of water. Also buy some beers (esp. the ones not on tap) if you think they might be good. On my last trip in April, I spent the best part of two afternoons at Hummel, Merkendorf, to try all beers on tap (0,25 litre glasses), then bought some more bottles, including beers I had not yet drunk. All were (very) good. Okay, then here is my advice for Zur Sonne, Bischberg: - drink the Helles (or if it is still on, the Zwickel version); - have the Braumeisterpfanne, the sauce is made with Dunkel; - buy a bottle of Weizen.
