| It ends up being a little longer than that -- we are going thru Nürnberg instead of the dreaded Würzburg -- avoiding a 5 minute connection, no elevator and luggage plus two bicycles (in large suitcases). I maybe could handle my own but it would be rough for my dad. We've also got about an hour layover in Köln. We'll pass the time somehow :) We're flying out of Düsseldorf so we'll back there for one night on Sep 10. I've taken the ICE to Brussels many times over the last 3 years (first time was Brussel to Bamberg after the ZBF in 2004). I like it much better than the Thalys, especially in 2nd class (excuse me, "Comfort 2"). First Class Thayls has free beer but not anything I'd want to drink :) |
