| I was very shocked to hear of John's death. My contact with John was invariably on the subject of German and other European beers, breweries and pubs. He made a huge contribution to the promotion of traditional beers from these countries by collecting and disseminating a vast amount of useful knowledge and information. He would quite unselfishly pass on information and promote books and publications. The only time I met John was after he kindly offered to take stocks of my book to Bamberg. He'll be greatly missed. |
