Interesting comment from a German friend (Revisited)

So a little while back I made mention of a friend of mine from Cologne who didn't seem to think much of Franconian beer. Well I spoke with him on the phone on Friday and he admitted that he hadn't ever visited Bamberg and the sorrounding region. The closest he's been was to Coburg many years ago and he recollected that the beer was quite good. So I talked him into visiting Bamberg with me for 4 days/nights from July 31st to August 4th. In exchange I had to agree to visit Cologne and Dusseldorf with him for a few days afterwards. Of course I agreed. It's a great sacrifice for me but I am willing to drink Kolsch and Alt for a few days in order to see that this Rheinlander gets the pleasure of enjoying what Bamberg has to offer. So here's to raising Franconian beer awareness!! I did manage to schedule and additional day/night in Bamberg for myself on August 5th so that I can get my perspective back after drinking all that other German beer.
