| As I've read several remarks on this forum regarding how few buses go to Merkendorf, here is the "full" timetable, ignoring buses before 08:00. Bamberg ZOB Bay L: dep. 8:35, 10:00, 13:20, 14:35, 16:05, 17:35. Merkendorf Kirche: arr. 9:18, 10:27, 13:47, 15:18, 16:48, 18:18. (monday - friday only!) How come there are more connections than in the line 17 table ? - that is because there is also line 27, which goes via Memmelsdorf to Schammelsdorf, then to Drosendorf, where it changes it's number to 17 and goes on to Merkendorf. This is a longer journey, but it takes one through rather nice countryside. Enjoy the views. Returns from Merkendorf Kirche to Bamberg ZOB via Memmelsdorf are at 9:22, 10:32, 13:52, 15:22, 16:52 and 18:22. The bus stop Merkendorf Kirche on arrival is just after Hummel, and before Wagner. The bus then continues to Laubend, comes back to Merkendorf and stops at the second Kirche-stop, which is a little further on the road, on the opposite side, and closer to Wagner. Bay L at the ZOB is in fact in one of the side streets that the buses use to and from the ZOB, it's the one nearest the Luitpold bridge (east). |
