Garmin

I have a Garmin Gecko 2## something (out in the bike shed, and I'm not going to go get it now to check, mid-Griess-Kellerbier!) which I got for 140 € last year. It's Handy-sized (modern Handy, that is), as opposed to my previous GPS, a ca. 1999 Magellan, which I guess is Handy-sized for 1999 Handys. Functionally, there's been amazingly little development in GPS technology for this price range in a whopping 7 year time frame, and I'd even suggest that my older one is...was more flexible in terms of sophisticated playing around with waypoints and things which one only needs to worry about when one finds oneself lost in the middle of the High Desert of Central Oregon (TM), as opposed to Oberfranken, where there's a freakin' village every 2 km, so how lost can you really get? I mean, yeah, the Garmin's good.
