First time to Bamberg

The Kulmbach Beerweek has quite some similarities with the Munich Octoberfest - I'd skip it. Only Kulmbacher beers (which are nowadays all from one concern, Kulmbacher - one big melting pot of blandness. Kulmbacher is Bayrische Brauerei Holding, 49.9something Heineken owned, the remainder is owned by a bavarian bank). I still recall (years ago) when there were indeed some different beers, Monchhof, EKU, Reichelbrau and Sandler. Schweizerhofbrau never featured at the Kulmbacher Bierwoche, and Kulmbacher Kommunbrau didn't exist at the time.
