New Beer Shop/"Bar" in Nuremberg: Der Treffpunkt Franken.

I checked out the following new, truly excellent place within Nuremberg railway station last Thursday (lead from MatW, thanks Mat)): Der Treffpunkt Franken (The Franconian Meeting Place), Im Hauptbahnhof 1.OG (Level 1 within the Main Railway Station), Westhalle, Bahnhofsplatz 9-11, tel 0911 24 02 455 (mobile 0160 22 965 22), http://www.der-treffpunkt-franken.de . It has over ninety different Franconian Beers and other Franconian products (wine and food) and Franconian souvenirs. The proprietor is Michael Reuter. Some information on the beers can be found by following the "Produkte" and then the "Bier" links on the place's website, this listing: four beers from Maier Bier in Wechingen; three beers from Hauf-Bräu in Dentlein am Forst; and eighty-seven beers from various Franconian breweries from the Nuremberg mini-pub chain/beer shop, Landbierparadies. Der Treffpunkt Franken is open from 10am to 8pm, seven days a week. Note that the place is primarily a shop, but one can partake of its wares on the premises; the beers are prices from 1.90 Euro to drink on the place; there are standing-at tables to rest your beer on.
