St Georgen Kellerbier

I think that St Georgen play an important part in advertising Franconian beer to the world. They are big enough to make their beers widely available but still good enough to get people interested in Franconian beer. Certainly when you get to Bamberg/Franconia, in my case Hummel Kellerbier at Abseits followed by a walk to Wunderburg to Keesmann and Mahr's, my opinion of St Georgen dropped considerably. Of course you can also look at it from the other point of view when away from Bamberg, at home in England or USA, what would you rather be drinking St Georgen, Becks, Budweiser (yuk)?
