A few days in Franconian Switzerland

I liked the Bamberger Zwiebeln (stuffed onions - yum!) with the house beer at Lohndorf's Hölzlein brewery/pub. Hölzlein's beer has wonderfully malty honey notes, but isn't cloyingly sweet at all. In Tiefenellern, Hönig's Gasthof zur Post had a fine amber lager with just a touch of smoked malt that went quite well with just about anything, including the house pizza that was on offer the night we went in. Also enjoyed an excellent lunch with house beers at Loffeld's Staffelberg brewery & bierstube; this is a bit farther north, but worth the trip.
