REAL Monastery Breweries in Germany

Klosterbrauerei Andechs: http://www.andechs.de/ - owner: Kloster Andechs - two managers: 1. for the daily work: a civilian manager, so called "Betriebsleiter" (factory manager) Alexander Reiss 2. for the strategy, contolling: Abt Johannes Eckert, one of 8 (?) monks. Totally: around 200 workers (brewery, pubs, tourisme service etc.) and only 8 (?) monks ( = top management and priests). Klosterbrauerei Weltenburg: http://www.weltenburger.de/ - in the ownership of the Erzbistum Regensburg (archbishop, regional department of the catholic church) - managed by the Bischofshof Brauerei in Regensburg, which is also owned by the Erzbistum Regensburg (two enterprises by law, but only one management). The greater part of their beers are named "Weltenburger" and brewed and filled at Bischofshof. http://www.bischofshof.de/ Only four beers named "Weltenburger Kloster" are brewed in the small, old brewery at Kloster Weltenburg and filled at Bischofshof: - Barock-Dunkel - Assam-Bock - Anno 1510 - Winter-Traum
