Bah!

I'd worried about that too. The big old Wohnhaus (house divided up into apartments) next door is owned by a delightfully crotchety-looking old couple who putter very slowly about in their garden. One Sunday last summer, I had no choice but to mow, since the grass was already long and rain was coming, but they didn't even look up as they were jäten their Unkräuter. Of course my mower, like every household one I've heard around here, is electric, ergo not *so* noisy. Yes, Sunday as "quiet day" is law, but as with other things, the evolution of the culture probably impacts this.
