'Downgeloadet' wurde eingedeutscht. |

The verb "to download" was eingedeutscht ("eindeutschen"==to adopt into Deutsch) as a regular seperable verb, ergo "downloaden" and "downgeloadet" in the past tense. There are quite a few such eingedeutscht words, though of course I can't think of any off-hand. (I prefer the real Deutsch "herunterladen/heruntergeladen".) What's kind of funny about "download" is that it is used as a seperable verb in Deutsch, but not in English. Of course, there is no such thing as a seperable verb in English, but if there were, this one would be a great example: Yesterday I loaded the data from my GPS to my computer down. |
