| I honestly don't remember which bus we took to get there. What I do remember is that we had a bus schedule that Nick had given us, and that we used that to organize our afternoon. Where did you get these schedules Nick? They were extremely helpful! Worst case scenario, you can ask the nice people at the bahnhof, and they will tell you which bus to take in front of the bahnhof. I remember that weekends are practically impossible (by bus), and that Fridays were difficult, but doable. We had planned to take a noonish bus to Herrnsdorf, to come back from Sambach around 4pm. This gave us time to sample Barnikel's wares (which were sadly either laden with diacetyl or outright infected), walk over to Sambach (about 3 kms?), have pints of Hennemann's very good Zwicklbier and Lagerbier (strangely similar lagers), and take the bus right in front of the brewery to head back to Bamberg for dinner. A very pleasant afternoon! Hope you get better luck with Barnikel! |
