Maibock

Sorry for my delayed answer, because I was busy preparing for my trip to Elsendorf. The bockbeer was great (powerful bock with a big and persistant hopbitterness), 5,- for a Mass and sold out on day 1. IMO Schlüsselfeld and the neigbouring villages like Elsendorf are worth a separate trip. My wife and I have made a cycling tour from Elsendorf to Possenfelden (brewery is closed and there was no sign of life in the neighbouring buildings), Burgebrach, Mönchsteinach (got one of the last maibock bottles from Zehendner), Kappel and Schlüsselfeld. Adlerbräu in Schlüsselfeld has a second beer, a hefeweizen, bottled only. I'll probably return next year.
