Hello everyone! This is the first time I post here though I've often lurked around. My name is Michael. I live in Aarhus, Denmark, and have been known to post on Ratebeer and the BBB. Right now I'm planning my first trip to Bamberg - with help from this site, John Whites and John Conens guides. Some friends and I are planning to spend 3 nights (thu-sun) in Bamberg during the summer. I'm hoping that rooms are avaiable in Fassla - accomodation covered (unless anyone can recommend a cheap-ish place with good tripel-rooms?) :-) Since we are only there for a short time, I would like to know if there is any idea in going during the Annafest or Altstadtfest(world cup period)? Won't we have plenty to see and do in and around Bamberg? Apart from Bamberg I would like to go to Geisfeld, Herrnsdorf and Merkendorf... (we will be driving to Bamberg and rent bicycles there) Cheers Michael Dalager-Pedersen
