East of Bamberg

Already on the czech side of the bavarian-czech border, near Marienbad/Marianske Lazne is the little village Chodova Plana worth a visit. There can be found the brewery "Chodovar" (family run), which converted some parts of their cellars into a picturesque "rocky cellar" restaurant. The tasty Chodovar brews (especially the 12° and the 13°) can be sampled in this unique atmosphere; absolutely worth a detour !
