Bamberg here we come!

If you're referring to their "U" (Ungespundetes), that is usually available daily from 16:00 (but I've had it before that time as well). Friday nights (and saturday nights) may indeed get quite busy around dinner time, but usually reservation is not really necessary for small groups (up to 4~5 persons) - the staff will probably find a way to fit you in somewhere. Don't expect private tables, the Bamberg way is far better! Just join other people on the larger tables, and you'll find yourself familiarising with them within no time. Jos
