| I use www.hrs.de quite a bit to find decent or better rooms not just in Germany, but in Austria and Italy. The one hotel we've stayed at in Bamberg doesn't show up as available *tomorrow* (perhaps if you give your travel dates, it'll turn up), but was absolutely splendid for us because it faces the famous altes Rathaus across the water, is the Brudermühle. Highly recommended. http://www.brudermuehle.de/deutsch/galerie.html Although the brewery hotels offer the convenience of sleeping upstairs from where you drink, Bamberg is quite small enough to stagger from any of the better brewery spots to the Brudermühle or other better hotels in the Altstadt. I also wouldn't bother with Munich, nor N-berg, other than to visit the Burg and the Nazi memorials. Uncle Jimbo is spot on with pointing to www.bahn.de for travel.
