Forchheim

The Kellerwald is about a 20 minute walk from the train station. I have taken a taxi a couple times -- don't remember how much, but it wasn't too much (or I'd remember :) ) As to should you visit? If betwen May and August, yes! If the weather is nice after that -- maybe worth it, but you can get all of the Forchheim beers in town. Some of the kellers are open year round, but some of those only on the weekend. I guess I am saying, "I don't know." If its just outside drinking, Spezial Keller in Bamberg is a better (safer) bet. But do try the Forchheimer beers -- three of the breweries are basically right next to each other, so its not too difficult. I'll email a friend from Forchheim and see if I can get better info.
