Bamberg at the end of November

I can recommend Regensburg, I spent a couple of days there at the end of July and there are some excellent bars and brewery taps. Its at least an hours train journey from Nurnberg, so over two hours from Bamberg. I wasn't that keen on Bayreuth, sure it has plenty for the tourist but I was only there for the beer and on a Saturday afternoon in January many places were closed. Jez
