Erlangen or Forcheim??

I can't tell you much about Erlangen. Forchheim has 4 breweries, three of which a pretty good and the last (Eichhorn) is OK. They also have the largest collection of bierkellers on one hill that I have ever seen (the Kellerwald). There are 20 odd kellers (but some are only open during Annafest) representing a dozen or so breweries. A friend stayed at the Hotel Franken in Forchheim (click on "Hotels in Forchheim" on the Forchheim page for info) and he liked it.
