Bamberg beer types: newbie questions

If you are talking about Stephansberg then sort of. Spezial Keller (a must see) and Mahrs Keller are open year round (i.e. in winter also) as they have an indoor part. However, they are closed on Mondays. Wilderose Keller has no indoor seeting and is open only from May to September and is closed "in bad weather." In Forchheim, the Kellerwald (site of Annafest) is much the same. There are year round kellers, summer only kellers and even a few Annafest only kellers. During Annafest they are open ever day and most are open everyday during the summer. We always walked from the train station -- I'd say its a 15-20 minute walk. If it's not Annafest you probably can take a taxi, but tell them to take you to the upper kellers (Obere Keller) so you can walk down :)
