| After having time to digest my trip fully I have to say that Bamberg is worth the effort to get to and enjoy. The beer is fantastic and in most cases superb. Of course I felt Schenkerla was best with Mahrs Brau a strong second. All were good though. I stayed in Memmelsdorf at Drei Kronnen and it was a great place to stay. Fruhstuk was always good and the beer was OK. The Hoehn braueri just a few doors down was serving infected beer that was 'not good'. Obviously a few return trips are necessary to confirm my notes and find even more breweries that I'm assured are out there. Cheers! ToddA |
