Bamberg - the true capital city of beers

I have today received my copy of this truly magnificent book, by Christian Fiedler, who published it himself. It is lavishly illustrated with photos and document reproductions for all the breweries featured, accompanied by superb maps pinpointing them; I can't wait to return to Bamberg with the book and match the photos of the lost breweries to their present uses. Christian assembled all the illustrations himself, and laid them out amongst his text, i.e. he has done far more the job of a mere author: the book is a labour of love that shines through from every page.
