Best Bamberg hotel for brewery visiting? |

| I often stay at Brauerei Spezial or Brauerei Fässla. The former only has seven rooms so they are often full, but the rooms are large, clean and inexpensive. No phone or TV, though they may be adding them. I have not stayed at the National but have walked by it and it seems OK. It is closer to the train station but a little farther from the old town -- but not much -- maybe 5 minutes walk :) If you are staying a week or more I can recommend http://www.UrlaubInBamberg.de -- they have small vaction apartments that come with kitchen (with utensils!) TV, phone, etc. Comfortable but small. Minimum a week stay, though, and no maid service. When are you going? I'll be there Aug 8-17 and some other friends will be there roughly July 12-19. |
