New Franconian Beer Coaster Poster

I got copies of the new poster in Bamberg yesterday. There is a new shop (new since August 2003) located in Luitpoldstrasse close to the junction with Obere Königstrasse (i.e. just around the corner from Fässla and Spezial). The shop supplies biers from many of the small local breweries. The new poster has the addition of several breweries that have opened since the earlier poster of Stefan Mack (new are Bad Kissingen (Wittelsbach Turm and the Jägersruh Museum), Barfusser Nürnberg, Steinbach Erlangen, Kommunbräu Kulmbach, Zwieseltaler Nemsdorf, Schöllkrippen Barbarossa, re-opened Ploss in Selb, Weibs in Dinkelsbühl, Forstquell Fürnheim, Leuchtturm in Gunzenhausen, Schorsch from Oberasbach, just outside Gunzenhausen). Not represented is the new Brauerei Enzensteiner, Schnaittach. As an aside, I was in Fässla on Saturday afternoon - very full and, unfortunately as a beer-drinking non-smoker, the air was thick enough to cut. Outside in the entry hall was the same. Anyway, it was good to get beer at sensible prices again - in Berlin they charge in Euros what you never payed in Franken in DM. Schlenkerla and Klosterbrau were also full on Saturday so it seems that at least in Bamberg beer culture is surviving.
