Kaiserdom beer label question |

Hi, After purchasing a case of Kaiserdom Premium Pils, I noticed that the edge of the label contains an interesting set of numbers: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 04 05 06 L 1 2 4 8 16 Notches are cut out on the 10 and 04 to indicate that the beer is best before October '04. What puzzles me is the "L" and the sequence of doubling numbers following it. On my bottle, the 8 has been notched; but the only interpretation I can see is "eight litres", which is clearly wrong! Anyone know what the "L" stands for, and what the numbers to its right are used to represent? jason |
