Josh -- I could be reading your post wrong, but Kellerbier is not some form of Pilsner. Is the high hopping rate adding to some confusion ? Keller is a much older style than pils. Brewed in the days of no refrigeration,no pressurized casks,dark malts, high hopping rates to ward off/cover infections and full of yeast. It's a wonderful fossil that still survives, but it's no Pilsner. |
