German-style beer at GABF

Yes, Widmer Alt won the Gold! I forgot to get to their booth this year, but I've had it in bottles. Good, and I attempted to save a bottle from last spring for this year's trip but it did not survive the summer. I didn't get to their booth at GABF, but the other 2 medal winners were not quite there. Tasty enough but not crisp, dry, and bitter in that German way, more like American/English brown recipes rearranged, if that makes sense.
