Brauerei Schrüfer in Priesendorf

Some of the new American varieties are very good. I have never been too impressed with the US transplants of European hops (US Saaz, US Goldings, etc). I haven't brewed with Santiam, but I do like Vanguard. I wonder what some of the "classic" US varieties such as Cascade, Columbus, Chinook etc., would be like if grown in Europe. Probably wouldn't be anything we'd like. BTW, Brauerei Spezial uses German grown Nugget (Hallertauer Nugget!). And Chimay used US Nugget until they switched to hop extract.
