OT:England's Pubs

Have to agree with Barry, Andrew. This has clearly been bad for pubs, and some will close, Im sure, but I think the sector is more resilient than you think. How many micropubs have opened in the last 5 years? Different to pubs in the 70s, yes, but most serve a great selection of beers and have friendly service and good conversation. I certainly wouldnt pay a fiver to get into a pub though. Hope to get out in a week or so when things have settled down, after all, use it or lose it.
