Ehingen (Donau): and you think the opening times in Franken are bad

Ah ok... well relatively few British pubs are family owned. Hence they are definitely better as the staff are paid. I have some sympathy for family operations but still. Funnily enough a mate of mine went to Forchheim the other day just to have lunch in Eichhorn. He called the day before and they assured him they were open. They were closing as he arrived.

I get mildly irritated in Spezial when they start shoeing people out early just because they want to go home. Not everyone operates on a 9-5 day or just goes to the pub to eat. As an aside it never happens when Herr Merz is manning the taps.

A few years ago I was hiking in the alps and I wanted to stop off at a hut. In the middle of nowhere, there's a lovely note on the door. Nothing online on their website. It's just so inconsiderate and unnecessary.

Worse things happen at sea of course.
