Sure it has since self and friend drank a group of Czech students 'under the table' in 1968 after they had been boasting about their drinking prowess and the strength of their beers - couldn't do it today! Watched a programme in the quite good Great Continental Railways Journies by the otherwise much disliked former politician Michael Portillo.  This covered the route from Prague to Munchen - perhaps not quite the standard route as it involved stops at Plzen, Furth in Wald (where we had our photo's taken before we walked across the Czechoslovak border - most unwisely according to German border police) and Nuremburg.  Portillo reckoned that Plzen had changed the least since the Czech version of Die Wende, so might try to go there.
