Yes, it's a bit ironic, that I suggested the trip to Metzgerbräu (butcher brew) without knowing that Bill's new brewery is in a former butchery. (The building in Omaha is on the National Register of Historic Landmarks or whatever-it's-called in the US, FWIW.) It's a 7-barrel (US) brewhouse with conditioning tanks and service from kegs, but they can also do cask-conditioning, and he plans to move ahead with that. Photos of the tap room that Chris showed me were impressive, how they preserved the old building.

I assume Romator is Andy's new Bock, right? How was the food -- did everyone order the Treberschnitzel?

I had one Seidla of the Fässla Bock on Thursday; I can't imagine drinking up to 4 of them! That was also, coincidentally, my first ever Bockbieranstich, so I broke my unofficial goal of never attending one.

Thursday was great in Pottenstein (Hufeisen), Oberailsfeld (Held) and then in der Königstraße, before a visit to Abseits by myself. Then family obligations prevented me from coming along Friday, unfortunately! They are a fun group; I would not normally think people from Nebraska (!) would be so much fun. I have been to Nebraska. I was there as a young teenager a few times.
