VGN/Stadtwerke Bamberg

I think that clears everything and, more or less, confirms the suggestions made by Gunnar, Nick abd Jan.  Except...

Maybe, slowly, you'll start to trust some of the responses given to questions you pose here? Just a bit?  A wee bit?

If the €12.20 Mobi-card can't be used in Bamberg, why is it listed in price list, as all the other VGN tickets and cards that can't be used in Bamberg aren't listed?

How else would non-experts be perplexed?

Good question, I suppose it's a service to those wanting to travel to the surroundings from the city. Maybe those are all the tickets available at the Bamberg machines now? The ones that explicitly exclude zone 1100 are the 5'r & 10'r Streifenkarten, the Wochenkarte, and the 31-day, 3-, 6-, 9-, & 12-month cards. The others are either Bamberg-specific or mixed.

I'll have to pop round to an Erlangen-only bus ticket Automat and see what the sorts of tickets available there are, in comparison.
