Kellersaison 2013

This year must be the shortest proper Kellersaison in years, at least since 2005, when I started keeping track. First there was a late start to Spring, then weeks of cold and rain in May and again in September. Okay, the traditional Kellersaison is from 1 May to 30 Sep, so it never really varies, but for those Keller(s) which open earlier and stay open longer, the season varies.

Looking ahead at the weather forecast for the next couple weeks, my bet is that tomorrow will be the last day at Roppelt's. And that means 2€ per Mass, much less for regulars....Stammgäste. I hope to go today and tomorrow. Maybe he'll keep it open longer, but with such cool temp's coming, my guess is he'll have Wed & Thu for Ruhetag(s) and open the Gaststätte on Friday, if it's not already open.

Oh, wait...having just thought to check the website...turns out the Keller's closed today, and Karpfensaison already started on Friday. Hmm...guess that's that then.
