Saturday event in Strassgiech...Private Function

I'm sorry to have spread false information about the Steinbier release in Strassgiech, but that was the information I got. I did realise today was a Saturday and Drei Kronen normally closed but expected Andy would open for this. I hope noone went there in vain. Congratulations Gerhard to your deal with Andy - you have every right to be proud. So what was the Steinbier like? I'll just say that Mrs and myself thought it was great - perfectly balanced hops/caramel ratio, highly drinkable (trinkfreudig?). No noticable smokiness though; I wonder where that information came from. Luckily for us, Akkurat has got quite a few kegs in their cellars. (They also served a Mönchsambacher Lager in Bayerischer Anstich; in comparison it seemed quite tame.) I'd be interested to see comments from you all.
