Is this the cheapest beer in Franconia?

You have to differentiate between the prices in a pub / restaurant / beergarden and the prices of a brewery. 1,50 € l for 0.5 liter or 3,00 € for a liter is a cheap price for pubs, but if you buy beer from a brewery (take away) You pay only 11,50 or 12,50 € for 20 bottles = 10 liters. The cheapest prices for beer in Germany are around 5 or 6 Euro for 10 liters (p.e. for the brand Oettinger). Bocks are a little bit higher (maybe 14,50 Euro for 10 liters). 1,50 for 0.5 liter is much more than the producing costs. I have only informations about the costs in the year 2002. The variable producing costs have been around 30 Euro per 100 liters. The full cost of producing: around 44 Euro per 100 liters (without tax). The cheapest prices You have to pay as a pub owner are around 90 Euro per 100 liters free house (without tax) for a good lager. Wheat beers prices are around 10 Euro per 100 liters higher. The beer price, the pub has to pay, is only a small part of the whole price for guests in a pub (maybe around 25%). The cheapest prices in pubs / beergardens You find in the franconian swiss (eastern part in the direction to Pegnitz) and in the region around Höchstadt. The prices n Bamberg-City are higher (boom town, many students and tourists).
