You could take the train to, say, Forchheim and explore the various breweries there! Oy! So you're staying in Ebensfeld -- when? I've only done the 3 breweries across the river from Bad Staffelstein < http://www.franconiabeerguide.com/map.asp?Region=Lichtenfels > but that loop, while level, might be a bit long, about 10 km. Ebensfeld - Wiesen is 4.7 km each way. I assume you've looked into buses?
