Vatertag?

It's simply fathers day in Germany. It's also ascension day which makes it a national holiday. Not that Franconians need an excuse, but the 'dads' spend the day getting drunk. They troop round the countryside with decorated carts containing barrels or similar. I'm a little young to be a dad but it would be rude not to join in (barring the carts, way too much effort).
