Maybe nice pils from Franconia (this beerstyle hasn't a big demand in Franconia in contrast to other regions of Germany): "Keesmann Herrenpils" from the Brauerei Keesmann in Bamberg available on tap in many pubs and in the brewpub "MainSeidla Original" from the Brauhaus Binkert in Breitengüßbach http://www.mainseidla.de/ available in many shops, the cinema Odeon (Luitpoldstraße), Café Abseits (bottle) and the brewpub in Breitengüßbach (on tap) not available in Bamberg: "Bitter 42", a new pils from the Brauerei Rittmayer in Hallerndorf with 42 IBU Hallerndorf and the surroundings with many interesting brewpubs, but maybe too much for a 3-night-visit ??? "Doppelhopfen" from the Schlossbrauerei Stelzer in Fattigau (near Hof, around 100 km away from Bamberg) www.schlossbrauerei-stelzer.de "Edelhopfen extra" from the Brauerei Maisel in Bayreuth http://www.maisel.com/unsere_biere/edelhopfen_extra_30.html formerly known as "Edelhopfen Diät-Pilsner". Since some years it isn't allowed to say, that beer is good for health wellnes (diet), so the name has changed. http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/maisels-edelhopfen-diat-pilsner/6091/ "Hopfen Gold" from the Brewery Hofmann in Pahres http://www.hofmann-bier.de/php/site.php?id=51 hops: Hallertauer Nordbrauer, Hallertauer Tradition "Wichert Pils" from the Brewery Wichert in Oberwallenstadt near Lichtenfels http://www.brauerei-wichert.de/ with no information about their different beers at the website The most breweries in Germany and also Franconia don't release the used ingredients.
