Very interesting, Gerhard. I didn't know that they used to offer beer & food pairings at the old Mahrsbräukeller (R.I.P.). That would have been good to try, even for me, who doesn't care for Mahr's much. German singular / plural: Kulinarium / Kulinarien English singular / plural: culinarium / culinari...a? ObligatoryEnglishTrainerTangent: "Used to / did not use to" doesn't exist in German. Once, when I taught this topic using the example sentence, "I used to work in a factory, but now I work in a bank", one woman thought it meant, "I was used as a factory worker but now I work in a bank". Someone else thought "I was deployed to work in a factory, but now I work in a bank." Both ladies were from the former DDR / East Germany. I used to go swimming every day in summer when I was a kid. I didn't use to ride my bike to work when I lived in Oregon. There is another usage of "used to", which *does* have a German partner: an etwas gewohnt/gewöhnt sein. I'm not used to drinking strong beer any more. I am used to drinking very hoppy beer.
