My wife and I stopped at a small, old pub in the center of Westport one afternoon on our last visit and had a conversation with the bartender about this. We told him how we were visiting Scotland the following week. He said: "The thing I can't stand about the pubs in the UK are that each one has a different beer selection." I said "Really? You want the same beer on tap at every pub?". "Absolutely!"
