Only advisable with really low-gravity wort and fast, clean-fermenting obergärige Hefe! It's yeasty at first, but after a few days in the bottle, it's pretty indistinguishable from normally-primed ale that's 2 weeks in the bottle. Plus, beggars can't be choosers! When times were rough a couple of weeks ago, when I hadn't brewed for a couple of weeks and the Hausbräu was about gone, I had to resort to old tricks: Pils mixed with Clausthaler Extra Herb (not the regular white-label stuff, but the hoppy, gold-label stuff). And then it occurred to me: why not try mixing hellen Weihnachtsbock with the Clausthaler instead of Pils? Mönchsambacher works really well this way. It's also fairly diacetyl-laden for a few days, but that clears up quickly, and doesn't bother me with this beer like it does with 5% lager from some places round here.
